When we see the peace-loving, cryptocurrency-crazy, non-racist “DAO” using virtually the same communications facility, we cannot conclude that this either makes cryptocurrency users extremist or makes the DAO friendly to extremists. It must not be taken down. Suitable for extremists. This means that DAOs, like many other online communities that use Discord and make it one of the most popular social media applications in the world, including political movements, all emphasize participation over secrecy. Adding a DAO to the mix does not create a “safe haven” from anything, and it certainly does not “bypass government regulatory and Security Service (sic) monitoring activities.” In fact, quite the opposite is true.
