Devcon is now less than 60 days away. For anyone who would like to join us in Osaka, we wanted to provide an important update and additional details on how to obtain the remaining Devcon tickets.
First, save the date. Tickets for the 3rd Devcon go on sale on Thursday, August 15th at 6AM PT / 9AM ET / 3PM CEST / 10PM JST on Devcon.org!
There are a few different methods you can use to claim your pass once this wave is complete.
To address ticket demand, it’s important to note that, as previously mentioned, more than two-thirds of Devcon tickets are discounted or free and are targeted at different groups of builders and students. The remaining tickets were sold through a series of publicly available “waves” and went quickly.
That said, we believe there is more we can do to give the general public the opportunity to attend. So after Wave 3 there will be a few different ways to secure Devcon tickets. Some of them are experimental and can be used on the Ethereum network.
Specifically, we will provide the opportunity to purchase DevCon tickets outside of the wave by allocating remaining tickets in three ways: an on-chain lottery, an on-chain auction to benefit the expanded scholarship program, and a final appeal round. Details on each of these ticketing processes will be detailed after Wave 3 goes on sale.
