This year we have opened up applications for those interested in attending Devcon. builder and student discount, speaker, supporters, volunteer or Press down. But what about improvements to general attendance cards? Today we Auctions and Lotteries – New ticket distribution methods and a way to save Devcon tickets ahead of regular ticket sales.

First Ticket to Devcon VI: Discover Devcon Auctions and Raffles
Distributing tickets is always a challenge when demand exceeds supply, and we spent time thinking of new ways to provide more opportunities for those planning to attend Devcon VI.

Over the past few years, waves of Devcon tickets scheduled across various dates and times have aimed to target a more diverse demographic than a single sale. Still, there is an advantage for those who are in the right time zone or geographically closer to the actual ticketing server. In general, our goal is to distribute tickets in as many ways as possible and not ask most attendees to wait or refresh the website at specific times (if possible).
How does the auction work?
Both the auction and lottery will take place on Arbitrum, a layer 2 rollup anchored on the Ethereum mainnet. we advise Link your funds to Arbitrum If you would like to participate, please do so in advance. ETH is the only accepted payment method..
Ticket auctions are similar to traditional auctions. Participants can submit bids and the top 20 bidders will each receive a Devcon VI ticket in return for their bid. The minimum bid required to participate in the auction is 0.25 ETH (a significant discount from the general admission ticket price).
And best of all, the proceeds are donated to the public good! Oh and everyone participating in the event Auctions and Lotteries You will receive a POAP NFT to represent your participation.

memo: Smart contract wallets such as Argent and Gnosis safe are not compatible with Auction & Raffle this year.. We plan to modify the contract in future iterations to accommodate smart contract wallets.
How does the lottery work?
Any entrants who do not make it to the top 20 will have another chance to win 1 of 80 Devcon VI tickets through a drawing at a reserve price of 0.25 ETH!
Each person who wins the drawing will be able to withdraw additional ETH above the reserve price. if you don’t win either one If you participate in a raffle or auction, you may withdraw the entire bid amount minus a 2% Sybil Resistance fee.
