The Ethereum Foundation’s EcoDev research team is pleased to announce five six-month research fellowship positions. This fellowship provides participants with the opportunity to delve deep into unexplored Ethereum use cases and identify blockers and enablers that could impact their development.
Researchers, developers, community members, and experts from other industries are invited to apply by submitting background information and a one-page research proposal. We are looking for innovative ideas focused on the following early Ethereum use cases:
- Ethereum’s features provide real, unique benefits.
- Focus on use cases that create positive outcomes and real benefits.
- It has not yet gained significant traction or been explored deeply within the Ethereum ecosystem.
The fellowship focuses on research. Use case areas that have not been explored more broadly Rather than specific products or pre-commercial development, we pursue proposals for incremental improvements in well-researched and well-funded areas such as AMMs, lending protocols, digital art, collectible IP, prediction markets, domain names, etc.
Fellowship Details
- Full-time fellowship: Fellows will receive a monthly stipend to support their work.
- Regular updates: Fellows are expected to share monthly drafts and final reports at the end of six months.
- Join the EF Team: Group chat, guidance, and weekly check-ins are provided for colleagues on the EcoDev research team.
Fellowship Outcomes
Fellows are required to provide monthly progress reports and a final report summarizing their results at the end of the six-month period. Fellows will also have the opportunity to present their work to the EcoDev research team and share their insights at public events.
