So, how was the cryptocurrency options market price for Bitcoin (BTC) spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) released? A quick post-mortem analysis of implied options and subsequently realized volatility (see below) shows that market expectations subsided following the event, and while Team Ether Options was asleep, the Bitcoin options market crowd was spot on in the market reaction. Looks like they’ve set the price. After ETH, the rally was led by the launch of a Bitcoin spot ETF.
