Following Ether Lee’s PECTRA update, developers face new opportunities and challenges. Major changes include improved smart accounts and data efficiency, and peerdas are expected to greatly affect future development.

The latest hard fork of Ether Lee, known as PECTRA, has introduced significant changes in the blockchain ecosystem to set the additional development of smart accounts and data efficiency. According to OKX Ventures, PECTRA, a combination of Prague and Electra updates, has integrated 11 Etherrium improvement proposals (EIP) with the largest hard fork bundle since the merger.

The effect on Ether Leeum of PECTRA

The PECTRA has brought about several notable changes, including the EIP-7691, which has doubled the blove goal and increased the hard cap to significantly reduce the gas commission of the layer 1 (L1) and the layer 2 (L2) network. This update also did not require sponsorship gas and contract migration as summarized in the EIP-7702, but introduced functions such as sponsorship gas and stable coin fee payment so that they can function as a smart account for single transactions.

Moreover, the validation test increased to 2,048 ETH, relieving the operation burden of large operators without damaging decentralization according to the EIP-7251. The introduction of peerdas aims to improve data availability and scalability, especially for roll -ups, especially for rollups.

Industrial response and future direction

In a recent discussion hosted by OKX Ventures, the industry leaders of offchars, startware, etHStorage and ether.fi, we discussed the immediate impact of PECTRA. Derek Lee of OFFCHAIN LABS mentioned that the Arbitrum instance required an update, but the change was mainly provided with a lower revenue headroom for distributed exchange (DEX) and game users. Leonardo Ler of Starkware pointed out that the cost model adjustment of PECTRA has been rebuilt to the Instanteless-Client Research.

By setting a new foundation for PECTRA, the focus is now to switch to peerdas, greatly improving the roll -up feature of Ethereum. The developer also keeps an improvement, such as Verkle Trees, History Fery and SSZ-OBJECT transactions, all of which promise to simplify operations and reduce storage requirements.

A wide range of meanings for ecosystems

The meaning of PECTRA expands beyond just a technology improvement. As Ether Lee continues to develop, focuses on maintaining the settlement superiority so that L2S can capture mass market users. OKX Ventures suggests that alignment between modular roll -up stacks and L1 capacity expansion will create a competitive advantage that may be difficult for other block chains.

The rich Ettherum roadmap by PECTRA UPDATE is pointed out towards the future when smart-calculation is becoming a basic consumer gateway, and blobed native contents appear as a new border. To further improve data availability and scalability, Ethereum is set to maintain its position as a major blockchain platform.
