Ethereum’s HOLESKY and HOODI TESTNETS calls for a new strategy for testing validation tests, depending on the PECTRA testnet activation problem.
According to the Ethereum Foundation, Etther Leeum Network has solved the recent tasks with the test net, especially after the problem released during the activation of PECTRA testnet. Complications are caused by changes in the configuration of deposit contracts, which affect customers in various Etherrium tests.
Problems and recovery efforts
Sepolia, one of the affected networks, has quickly recovered from confusion and has since returned to normal work. In contrast, HOLESKY faced a significant challenge while experiencing a wide range of non -activity leaks in the process of recovery. This resulted in a regular timeline for removing the validated inspector that was terminated in the system, which is expected to take about a year.
Introduction of Hoodi testnet
In response to these tasks, Ethereum launched a new testnet called Hoodi. The new network aims to promote the testing test, and activates the PECTRA Network upgrade in EPOCH 2048 scheduled for March 26, 2025. HOODI is placed as an important platform for stating operators and infrastructure providers.
HOODI’s introduction allows Holesky Testnet to continue to work until September 2025, so that stakeholders can smoothly shift. HOLESKY continues to support various functions, but the size of the EXIT queue limits the ability to effectively test the entire validation test life cycle.
TestNet Overview and Future Planning
The Ether Leeum Foundation explained the purpose and life of the test net.
- Holzuki: Designed for valid and staying providers that are expected to end their lifespan in September 2025. It will also be used by the Dedlant developer who tests the gas limit and tests other protocol stress tests.
- Sepolia: Applications and tooling developers are supported by September 2026.
- hood: The expected lifespan by September 2028 has focused on validated inspector and staying providers.
- Planned SEPOLIA replacement: Launched in March 2026.
This development reflects Ether Leeum’s continuous efforts to improve infrastructure and ensure a powerful test environment for future upgrades. As the blockchain ecosystem continues to develop, the pre -preventive approach of Ether Lee, which solves the testnet task, is important to maintain its position as a major platform in the cryptocurrency space.
