Fireblocks announced its integration with Coinbase International Exchange, significantly expanding exchange connectivity. According to Fireblocks, this development will provide both institutional and retail clients with access to perpetual futures and spot trading capabilities in eligible jurisdictions.
Introduction to Coinbase International Exchange
Regulator Coinbase International Exchange aims to expand the availability of cryptocurrency derivatives to institutional and professional traders outside the United States. This includes hedge funds, proprietary trading firms and family offices, providing them with ample liquidity and a robust trading infrastructure. The exchange operates under a strict regulatory framework and adheres to local regulations where applicable.
With advanced APIs, liquidity incentives for high-volume users, and a growing list of tradable assets, Coinbase International Exchange seeks to strengthen trust and security in the global cryptocurrency markets. “As we continue to expand our services for institutional and retail customers, this collaboration highlights our commitment to providing a robust and reliable trading infrastructure to our global customers,” said Usman Naeem, CEO of Coinbase International Exchange.
Benefits of Coinbase International Exchange Integration
Fireblocks Network’s integration with Coinbase International Exchange offers several benefits, including improved governance and security of exchange operations.
Governance control over Exchange operations
The Fireblocks policy engine allows customers to set user roles, governance policies, and approval workflows for deposit and withdrawal operations. This feature is designed to prevent unauthorized movements of funds from your exchange account.
Secure funding, rebalancing and transfers
Customers can easily deposit, withdraw and rebalance from connected exchanges, Fireblocks wallets, network counterparties and whitelisted addresses using the Fireblocks console or API. This feature helps mitigate the risks associated with exchange deposit address whitelisting.
Monitor account balance
The Fireblocks console provides a unified view of all connected accounts, allowing customers to easily monitor assets, balances, and transactions. Additionally, Fireblocks uses Multi-Party Computation (MPC) to eliminate single points of compromise in API credentials and secure hardware enclaves, ensuring the safety of exchange credentials during storage.
Exchanges will also benefit from Network Link, a tool designed to accelerate the number of exchanges and trading venues supported on the Fireblocks Network. The tool facilitates faster and easier integrations for third-party providers, allowing participants to discover and connect to solutions and transact securely.
