Several of the proposed Ethereum ETFs will begin trading next week, Cboe said. They include the Fidelity Ethereum Fund, Franklin Ethereum ETF, Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF, VanEck Ethereum ETF, and 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF.
“We are pleased to announce that one Exchange Listed Product (‘ETP’) will be listed on Cboe and will begin trading as a new issuance on July 23, 2024,” the exchange said in a new issuance notice, which is a procedural step in advance of the product launch.
Companies seeking to launch a spot Ethereum ETF have received approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to file Form 19b-4. In MayHowever, the registration statement must be valid before launch. Eric Balchunas, Bloomberg’s chief ETF analyst, previously said he had heard that companies would “call for effectiveness” on Monday. The companies disclosed the fees in revised registration statements on Wednesday. Fidelity said it would set the fee at 0.25% and waive it until the end of 2024. Franklin Templeton said it would give up VanEck said it would waive fees on the first $10 billion of fund assets through Jan. 31, 2025. fee The first $1.5 billion is exempt for one year after the fund is listed on an exchange. ETF issuer 21Shares has set a 0.21% fee, which is exempt for six months from the date the stock is listed or the first $500 million, whichever comes first.
