Private AI training platform FLock.io announced the official launch of its mainnet on Base. This launch coincides with the Token Generation Event (TGE) for FLOCK, the native token that will serve as a utility token for the FLock ecosystem by encouraging and rewarding community participation.
The FLOCK token debuts on Bybit, with token airdrops being offered to incentivized testnet participants on TGE today. Users have the opportunity to earn FLOCK by participating in decentralized AI training through the platform, accessible through train.flock.io. This token serves to enable collaboration between data providers, training nodes, and compute providers within the FLock.io ecosystem.

Since its founding in 2022, FLock.io raised a $6 million seed round in March 2024 and launched an incentivized testnet on Base Sepolia in May 2024. FLock.io’s platform has grown in popularity, with approximately 20,000 AI models created to date and the ecosystem supported by over 600 training nodes, 1,000 validators, 63,000 delegators, and 700,000 model end users.
