Floki is delighted to announce that its groundbreaking PlayToEarn MMORPG, Valhalla, will be fronting a high-profile advertising campaign spanning the entire 2024-25 English Premier League (EPL) season.
This campaign will leverage LED signage during live matches to provide massive global exposure and build brand credibility.
The English Premier League is the most popular sports league in the world, attracting more viewers than the UEFA Champions League and the Bundesliga combined. During the 2022-23 season, the EPL boasted a cumulative viewership of 3.23 billion.
According to Nielsen data, the league is broadcast to 712 million households in 190 countries, with 2.01 billion people watching live game programming during the season and 1.22 billion watching highlight shows and other non-live content.
Premier League clubs also have a huge following on social media, with a combined total of over 500 million followers. Facebook is the leader with 240 million, followed by Instagram with 157 million, TikTok with 56 million, X with 123 million and YouTube with 28 million.
Valhalla’s LED perimeter board advertising is strategically placed to maximize visibility. The entire TV-facing advertising system ensures that advertising is prominently displayed during the broadcast. Creative flexibility provides dynamically tailored advertising content. Branding is visible within the event itself, providing exposure within the program.
The ads are multi-channel, ensuring they can be viewed across a variety of devices and platforms, including broadcast, social media, mobile and online. The Premier League ensures uninterrupted visibility, with no virtual overlays to interrupt the ads. And with minimal ad avoidance, viewers can barely avoid the ads.
According to the team, when an LED ad is broadcast for one minute, it is exposed to screens worldwide for a whopping 156 minutes.
The advertising campaign will cover 100 minutes of advertising time throughout the season and will be broadcast globally to ensure wide reach. A minimum of 40% of the advertising inventory will be shown during matches featuring the league’s top clubs.
This extensive campaign is expected to reach a huge audience globally. It is expected to reach over 200 million people in total, generating approximately 1.2 billion impressions and approximately 440 hours of total screen time. In Europe, the campaign is expected to generate approximately 81 million impressions and approximately 181 hours of screen time.
In Asia and Oceania, we expect to see approximately 47 million impressions and approximately 168 hours of screen time. In Africa, we expect the campaign to achieve approximately 48 million impressions and approximately 34 hours of screen time.
The campaign will air on some of the world’s biggest broadcasters, including Sky Sports, TNT, Amazon Prime, BBC (Highlights), NBC Sports (including Peacock), USA Network, Telemundo, FuboTV, Optus Sports, Star Sports, Disney+ Hotstar, beIN Sports, Supersport, Sky Deutschland, Canal+, DAZN, Sky Italia, Astro, Now TV and Truevisions.
