Kathryn Haun, former assistant U.S. attorney and partner at Andreesen-Horowitz, announced that she will soon resign from Coinbase’s board of directors after seven years of service.

Haun’s praise for Coinbase was returned by many high-profile cryptocurrency community members and Coinbase employees, including CEO Brian Armstrong, who called her a “force of nature” who took a chance on Coinbase and helped take it public.
The resignation will take effect at Coinbase’s annual shareholder meeting, expected later this summer. In the filing, the board said it expects to reduce its overall size to seven after losing Haun, one of two women currently serving on the board.
