This year hasn’t been great for NFT sales or rock bottom prices for the most popular collections.
According to The Block’s data dashboard, the floor price of Yuga Labs’ NFT collection, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and CryptoPunks, originally created by Larva Labs, fell 57.6% and 13.8%, respectively, from January 1 to November 28, 2023.
However, Bored Apes and CryptoPunks accounted for most of the most expensive NFTs sold in 2023. In fact, four were from the Bored Ape collection, another four were from CryptoPunks, and one Art Block Fidenza and a Mutant Ape NFT were also included. .

10) Bored Ape Yacht Club #5116 — 440 ETH
This NFT was sold for 440 ETH on NFT platform X2Y2 on March 7th. The rarities of the NFTs include the Bored Ape NFT, which only has 0.77% of the 10,000 NFTs, and the Kings Crown, which has a rarity of 0.77%.
9) CryptoPunk #3307 — 500 ETH
While other NFTs are prized for their rare properties, CryptoPunk #3307 is special for its lack of properties. According to the CryptoPunk website, this is one of eight CryptoPunks with no attribution.
The asset was sold on the Larva Labs marketplace on August 4 for approximately $1 million worth of ETH.
8) Mutant Ape Yacht Club #30002 — 500 ETH
This Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT is the only asset from the Mutant Ape Collection, derived from the Bored Ape Yacht Club, to make the top 10 list. This has the 1 of 1 “Mega Zombie” characteristic, making it the only NFT out of 20,000 MAYC NFTs with this characteristic. The user purchased this NFT for 500 ETH on NFT marketplace Blur on September 1st.
7) Bored Ape Yacht Club #4980 — 530 ETH
Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #4980 is one of 46 with solid gold fur and other rare characteristics. Of the 10,000 NFTs in the collection, these items have a gray background (11.7% have this characteristic), a smoking jacket (2.2%), an angry expression (4.3%), a party hat (1.2%), and have the phoneme “ooo” (2.5%) ). On May 15, it was sold for 530 ETH, worth $1.06 million.
6) CryptoPunks #8531 — 550 ETH
One of the 88 existing “ZombiePunks” is the 6th most expensive NFT sold in 2023. This NFT is one of 463 with sticky hair, one of 295 with a beard, and one of 527 with regular shades.
It was sold for 550 ETH, worth $1.06 million, on the CryptoPunks marketplace on July 15.
5) Bored Ape Yacht Club #1734 — 600 ETH
Trading for $1.2 million worth of ETH on X2Y2 on July 13, this asset is one of 46 other Bored Ape NFTs featuring pure gold fur. There’s also the Fake Hawk, which only 1.2% of collections have, and the “Boring Cigarette,” which has a rarity of 7.1%.
4) Cryptopunk #7458 — 600 ETH
Here’s another ZombiePunk. This item excludes the Knit Hat (1 of 419), the Shadow Beard (1 of 526) and the Regular Sunglasses (1 of 527). The user purchased this NFT for 600 ETH (worth $1.14 million) on the CryptoPunks marketplace on November 6.
3) Fidenza #545 — 625 ETH
The only NFT collection that isn’t CryptoPunks or Bored Apes IP comes from Tyler Hobbs’ generative NFT collection Art Blocks. Fidenza #545, part of the Fidenza collection, sold for 625 ETH ($11.45 million) on OpxttmenSea. The rarest characteristic of this NFT is its “small” scale. The floor price for Fidenzas with its small-cap nature is 600 ETH on OpenSea.
2) Bored Ape Yacht Club #7090 — 800 ETH
This NFT was sold on X2Y2 on February 7 for 800 ETH, worth $1.6 million. They have solid gold fur, a multi-colored smile (1.2%), a military uniform (1.4%), and heart-shaped glasses (3.9%).
1) Cryptopunk #5066 — 857 ETH
The most expensive NFT sold in 2023 was CryptoPunk #5066. It was sold for 857 ETH ($1.4 million) on February 6th. Not only is it another zombie punk (1 of 88), but it also has an earring (1 of 2,459), a knit hat (1 of 419) and a smile (1 of 238).
