We are evolving the way we build ethereum.org. Adopted from January 20th. Shape Up cycle – An intensive 6-week build period followed by a 2-week cooldown. For Cycle 1, each project below will be delivered by the end of February and will not automatically roll over to the next cycle.

Quick explanation: This is a circular roadmap for ethereum.org, a website, not Ethereum, the protocol..

In the first cycle, we plan to release the next project by the end of February.

Core ethereum.org improvements

Interactive Roadmap 🛣️

making Vitalik’s Ethereum Roadmap It is more beginner-friendly and interactive, helping newcomers understand the evolution and future of Ethereum.

Learn to listen 🎧

Implement audio functionality on key pages so users can listen to articles instead of reading them.

Web3 Implementation 🔗

Added native Web3 functionality to ethereum.org for the first time – linking wallets and directly onboarding dapps.

Dashboard Hub 📊

Create a central location for essential Ethereum tracking tools and community resources. Join our Discord Suggest dashboards you think should be included!

Content updates 📚

Refresh existing content

One of our biggest priorities is to keep our documentation up to date with the rapid evolution of Ethereum. We are comprehensively updating existing content across the site.

New educational content

We partner with freelance writers to expand educational resources and fill content gaps.

Want to help create new Ethereum content? Join us on Discord And ask how you can contribute!

Spectra Update

We will prepare ethereum.org content for the Pectra upgrade to help the community understand these important protocol updates.

Translation quality 🌍

Implementing a new system to improve and maintain translation quality across all languages.

Non-English speaking experience 🌐

Beyond translation, we look for ways to improve the experience for non-English speaking users. This may include a better feedback system, UI improvements, or content organization changes. We will be testing different approaches during this cycle.

Migrate UI components 💨

We will work with existing community contributors to fully migrate from Chakra to Shadcn UI components by the end of the cycle.

App Router Migration ⚡

Implement server components for improved performance and loading times.

ecosystem project

ethproofs.org 🔍

Coming Soon™: A new platform that tracks zkVM capabilities to support Ethereum’s journey towards Beamchain and Snarkification.

Launchpad update ⚡

Update launchpad.ethereum.org to support MAXEB changes to validators.

Project Support 🎨

  • Strong Incentives Group (RIG): Supports the EF research team with branding, web design and development.
  • Geodetic Project: Branding and Website Design (more details soon!)

Social Media Engagement 📱

We are starting to become more active across the platform to better engage with the Ethereum community. Initial focus:

  • More regular updates about our work and progress
  • Emphasis on community contribution
  • Share educational content
  • Building deeper connections with the ecosystem

We would like to thank our outstanding contributors in 2024.

looking ahead

After cycle one concludes in February, we will take a two-week pause to reflect on our results and plan for the next cycle. During the pause, we’ll be posting updates to share what we’ve released and what we’ve learned!
