This week, Gala Games announced an exciting new event on Common Ground World called Harvest Pie Hoedown. From July 16th to July 19th, farmers from around the world will compete in a three-day event centered around making and selling fruit pies.
Event Overview
According to Gala News, Harvest Pie Hoedown will feature a meta focused on Fruit Pies, which require ingredients such as blueberries, apples, strawberries, sugar, and dough. The goal is to sell as many Fruit Pies as possible during the event. Players can trade in Plains S biomes adjacent to River N, River E, Plans S, and Ocean W, with a trade time of 60 seconds and a gasoline cost of 1 per trade.
New Crops and Crafts
In preparation for the event, new crops and crafts have been introduced. In particular, blueberry fields have been added, which are essential for making fruit pies. The blueberry crop is worth $300 and requires 3 water, while the fruit pies made at the cake shop are worth $43,850 and require dough, apples, strawberries, blueberries, and sugar. The fruit pies take 40 seconds to make.
Event Rewards
Those who participate in the Harvest Pie Hoedown can look forward to leaderboard rewards in the form of Gala Games’ native token, $GALA. Additionally, it’s Blueprint Week, giving players a chance to win the new Crafty Candy Shop blueprint. The blueprint increases the Candy Shop’s crafting time by varying degrees, depending on its rarity, ranging from a 10% boost for Uncommon to a 20% boost for Luxury.
Additional updates
The recent Town Hall held on July 5th provided insight into community questions and introduced new NFTs. The next Town Hall is scheduled for July 19th at 8am PST, coinciding with the conclusion of the Harvest Pie Hoedown event. Players are encouraged to submit questions in advance.
For those looking to further enhance their gameplay, Gala Games has released the Rare Blueberry Stand, priced at $199.90. This market stand provides a passive Blueberry boost to surrounding buildings, and is limited to 200 units.
Important Notice
Gala Games recommends that players using offline mode log back in before the event ends to ensure that the fast forward feature is working properly. Players should also ensure that the game is the only tab running in their browser and that no other program is blocking the browser window.
