According to the Golem Network blog, Golem Network has announced the release of a minimum viable product (MVP) for the Golem-Workers API and is inviting beta testers to help improve the new features.
What are Golem Workers?
Golem-Workers is an API designed to provide direct, high-level access to GPU and CPU resources on the Golem Network. This feature allows users to perform complex tasks on the network by leveraging the distributed computing power provided by Golem.
Beta Testing Opportunity
After successful internal testing, Golem Network is now asking beta testers to provide valuable feedback that will help improve both the interface and functionality of Golem-Workers to ensure the API effectively meets the needs of its users.
Participation requirements
Potential beta testers must meet the following criteria:
- Basic understanding of OpenAPI
- Familiar with terminal and cURL requests
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Automatic1111
- Minimal knowledge of Python
Testing phase and rewards
The beta testing process is divided into two phases.
- Step 1: This phase involves simple tasks such as running predefined AI model inferences. It starts in about two weeks and ends on September 30. Beta testers should expect to spend 30-60 minutes depending on their experience level.
- Step 2: This phase will focus on advanced work to test specific features. It will start after phase 1, with a date to be announced later. Participants who successfully completed phase 1 will be invited to this phase, and may be compensated with GLM tokens as it requires more time and dedication.
