Headliner Proposal
Hegota’s main features (“headliners”) are selected first. These features available as EIPs can be submitted to the Ethereum Magicians forum. January 8thUse a template that will be published in the EIP meta thread. This template asks authors to justify the inclusion of the feature, evaluate positive and negative impacts on users, assess technical readiness, and designate an EIP champion. The Champion acts as a point of contact and is responsible for facilitating technical feedback. For a previous example, see: resources See section
Proposals must be submitted by: February 4th It is due and will be announced at the All Core Devs meeting. Submitted proposals are moved to proposal status by the champion opening a pull request for the Meta EIP and placing the EIP in the “Include Proposals” section.
One headliner, FOCIL, is already featured in the Considerations section. This had previously been discussed for inclusion in the Glamsterdam upgrade, but was later postponed as part of the scope reduction decision. It is included here to reflect previous discussions and ongoing concerns.
Headliner discussion and conclusion
The next ~4 All Core Dev calls are used to deliberate between proposals. The evaluation typically centers around the needs and urgency of Ethereum and its users, as well as the complexity and security considerations of implementing the change. The Ethereum community is invited to voice their opinions on these proposals through the Ethereum Magicians forum. A community feedback template will be posted once this period opens.
Non-Headliner EIP Proposal
Once a headliner is selected, you have 30 days to propose minor features (“non-headliner items”). This is proposed by opening a pull request for the Meta EIP during that period and placing the EIP in the “Proposal for inclusion” section.
