A total of eight new games are coming to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscribers this month, and five games are leaving Game Pass this month.

close to the sun
Close to the Sun, the 2019 indie first-person horror game with a “generally positive” Steam review score, is now available on Xbox Game Pass. The game is set in an alternate history world where Nicola Tesla and Thomas Edison are engaged in a global war for power (both figuratively and literally). Some Steam reviewers called the game a survival game, while others praised the graphics and overall atmosphere.
Let’s get out of hell
World War II first-person indie shooter Hell Let Loose is scheduled to release on Xbox Game Pass on January 4th. First released in 2019, the game features massive maps for tactical gunfights and team-based combat.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Ubisoft’s 2020 game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled to release on January 9 as part of its Xbox Game Pass subscription. Valhalla is a Viking-themed installment in a long-running role-playing action-adventure series. In Valhalla, gamers will play as Eivor Varinsdottir, a Viking raider searching for his son across Britain.

Figment is a 2017 indie action-adventure game in which players must explore a surreal world and complete various quests and puzzles. The setting takes place inside the mind of a person who has experienced trauma and nightmares, but the landscape is a floating island with fantastical, almost steampunk elements.
Figment is scheduled to release on Xbox Game Pass on January 9th.
Super Mega Baseball 4
Super Mega Baseball 4 is an arcade-style baseball simulation game coming to the Microsoft Game Pass service for PC via the EA Play platform on January 11th.

We Happy Few is a thrilling and colorful action-adventure game published by Gearbox, the creators of Borderlands. We Happy Few is set in 1960s England and offers a dystopian alternate history filled with strange masks, mind-altering drugs, and narrative-driven experiences. The game is scheduled to release on Xbox Game Pass on January 11th.

The 2019 remake of zombie survival game Resident Evil 2 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on January 16. The original Resident Evil 2 was first released in 1998, and the remake Best-selling Resident Evil game of all time In 2023.

Those Who Remain is a psychological horror game coming to Game Pass on January 16th. Set in the dark, neon-lit town of Dormont, The Remains of the Dead delivers a chilling puzzle experience through first-person adventure.
What leaves?
While many new games are being released Xbox Game Pass this monthGrand Theft Auto V will retire on January 5th and the following titles will no longer be included starting January 15th:
