Fraudulent website targeting Nanyang Commercial Bank customers
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has issued a warning about fraudulent websites and internet banking login screens impersonating Nanyang Commercial Bank, Limited. According to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the warning was issued as part of ongoing efforts to protect consumers from cyber fraud.

The HKMA emphasizes that legitimate banks will not send SMS or emails containing hyperlinks directing users to perform transactions on their website. Additionally, we do not request sensitive personal information such as login password or one-time password (OTP) via phone, email, SMS, etc.

Additionally, they must report the incident to the Hong Kong Police Crime Branch Information Centre.
