Hong Kong Monetary Authority emphasizes the risk of phishing fraud and warns the public about fraudulent online activities that mimic DAH Sing Bank.

HKMA (Hong Kong Monetary Authority) has warned of fraud online activities related to social media accounts that pretend to be fake websites, Dah Sing Bank, and Limited. According to the latest reports of the authorities, the report attracted the attention of HKMA.

Fraud activities and public warnings

HKMA emphasized the importance of the public’s boundary on phishing fraud in a warning. The authorities reminded the public that legal banks do not send SMS or emails containing built -in links that guide users to the website for trading purposes. In addition, banks do not request sensitive personal information such as login credentials or one -time passwords (OTP) through telephone, email or SMS.

Individuals who have accidentally shared personal information or have financial transactions through a fraud website or social media account must take immediate measures. HKMA recommends contacting Dah Sing Bank directly to the police by using the bank’s official contact information. Hong Kong Police’s Criminal Wings Information Center can reach 2860 5012.

HKMA’s continuous effort on cyber security

This warning is part of HKMA’s continuous efforts to fight cyber crimes and protect consumers from fraudulent systems. Authorities are working closely with financial institutions to strengthen cyber security measures and ensure the safety of the digital banking environment.

HKMA’s alarm occurs as the incidence of online frauds for bank customers around the world increases. Such frauds often use sophisticated technology to provide sensitive information that deceive individuals, which can be exploited for unauthorized financial transactions.
