- zkSync Era has recorded over 1.5 million transactions per day in the last 24 hours.
- zkSync Era has hosted the highest number of daily active users over the past two months.
Layer 2 (L2) blockchain zkSync Era extends its dominant performance to 2o24, consistently processing more transactions than any other Ethereum (ETH) scaling solution.
zkSync Era is leading the way.
According to a post on Ethereum Daily, the zero-knowledge rollup (zk-rollup) has recorded over 1.5 million daily transactions in the last 24 hours.
Traditional powerhouses such as Arbitrum (ARB) and Optimism (OP) took second and fourth place, respectively.

Further investigation by AMBCrypto revealed that the L2 network dominated for a month.
According to data pulled from L2Beat, over 40 million cumulative transactions have been processed on zkSync Era in the past 30 days, the most of any Ethereum L2 solution.
zkSync Era also delivered a high average throughput (TPS) of 16.11 events per second (TPS) over the last 24 hours.
In fact, zkSync Era was the only L2 network to consistently record double-digit TPS over the past month. It reached its highest daily average of 62.07 TPS on December 16th.
The zkSync Era also dominated other aspects of network activity. According to AMBCrypto’s analysis of Artemis data, it has hosted the highest number of daily active users over the past two months.
The number of unique active addresses on January 6 was 399.89K, which is more than the next four addresses on the list combined.
zkSync Era rates are lower in TVL.
Despite strong network fundamentals, zkSync Era has lagged in attracting decentralized applications (dApps) and associated liquidity.
As of this writing, the total value locked (TVL) in the rollup is only $541 million, which is significantly lower than Arbitrum, OP Mainnet, and even Base.
Will we see airdrops in 2024?
Strong network activity almost always sparks speculation about a potential AirDrop. This is despite the fact that zkSync has made no official announcement or hinted at such a scenario.
Airdrops have been a controversial topic within the cryptocurrency community. While some treat it as a marketing gimmick, proponents believe it can have a huge impact on user engagement and overall project success.
