Today we’re excited to speak with Hassam-Moussa Rawat, co-founder and CEO of Lingo. Through his incredible entrepreneurial journey and vision to bring the next billion users to Web3, Hassam-Moussa shares insights into Lingo’s innovative approach to integrating blockchain technology with real-world assets.
What led you to create Lingo, and how do you think it will change the landscape of social finance and real-world asset tokenization?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: Cryptocurrencies have come a long way over the past 15 years, but they have yet to find the killer use case that could lead to widespread adoption into the mainstream world. Understanding cryptocurrencies can be difficult for those familiar with Web2. They may lack substance and offer little fun or incentive. To fill this gap and solve these problems, we came up with Lingo. Disrupting the $200 billion loyalty industry by combining popular brands consumed by everyday users with the attractive rewards system of cryptocurrency. By building a gamified RWA-based reward token, we will deliver real benefits to users, drive the next billion users to Web3, and make RWA exciting beyond crypto.
Can you explain how Lingo integrates blockchain technology with real-world assets to create unique user experiences?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: At Lingo, we leverage the power of real assets to bring stability and durability to the Web3 ecosystem. This strengthens us against the risk of market fluctuations, provides credibility to Web2 and provides additional assurance to our current audience. By integrating this innovative technology with the limited but well-established world of real assets, we can create value for the ecosystem through our resources.
How does Lingo ensure that the rewards provided are sustainable for community members over the long term?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: RWA is expected to be a $1 trillion market by the end of this decade. We believe in tremendous untapped potential and are exploiting it to hinder community rewards. The sustainability and stability of real asset returns compared to the sometimes negative performance of the cryptocurrency market provides us with a regular revenue stream. We implement this in a rewards ecosystem powered by a global network of brand partners. We ensure that our community gets the best possible benefits from the Lingo ecosystem. At the same time, this vast network and rewards give us the ability to gain a lot of attention and adoption, including from Web2, thanks to our ambassadors. This leads to increased platform fees, which are then reinvested into RWA and generated once again. , consistent value.
What measures has Lingo taken to ensure the security and integrity of transactions within its platform?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: At the foundation of Lingo is blockchain technology, a decentralized network that ensures no single centralized entity is in control. It is also an immutable ledger that cannot be changed once a transaction is recorded. In addition to leveraging this technology for its fundamental benefits of ensuring data security and authentication, Lingo has received an in-depth audit, reflecting its commitment to building a secure platform. This is why we built Lingo on-chain.
Aside from airdrops, what are the main uses of the $LINGO token within your ecosystem and how do you plan to improve its utility in the future?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: Airdrops are one of Lingo’s events, but they do not use $LINGO tokens. $LINGO powers our entire rewards ecosystem. We are building on Solana and Base, two of the most popular blockchains in the cryptocurrency industry, to ensure widespread availability and adoption. LINGO tokens will soon begin community sales. Tokens are used to win once-in-a-lifetime experiences and gift cards to over 3000 brands, including Netflix, Nike, PlayStation, and hotels, along with our partner Travala.
What are the biggest challenges you have faced while integrating real-world assets with blockchain and how have you addressed these challenges?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: As we have seen, most Web3 projects either fail to reward the community or lack real value creation. We overcome this shift by leveraging RWA, which can deliver real rewards to users. Beyond using RWA, we use its value, sustainability, and stable returns to fuel the ecosystem. However, integrating RWA presents challenges, including the need for greater standardization, complex processes, and secure storage. LINGO simplifies the entire process by allowing users to enjoy the Lingo experience on the platform without interacting with RWA.
How does Lingo navigate the complex regulatory environment surrounding cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: Cryptocurrencies are currently going through a difficult phase in terms of regulatory clarity in certain regions around the world. However, in the case of Lingo, it is clear that it is a utility token and not a security token. More specifically, Lingo holders are not entitled to legal ownership of RWA. You must own $LINGO tokens to access the rewards ecosystem. Our RWA portfolio is contracted to Lingo’s holding company foundation.
What’s the next big step for Lingo in the coming year? Are there any exciting projects or expansions coming up?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: We’ve made significant progress by securing partnerships with Magic Eden, Fizen, Travala, and a number of top Web3 IPs, which has helped us build a strong community of over 250,000 members. Next year will see the launch of our MVP and claims platform along with securing a Tier 1 CEX and DEX listing to reach the masses. This is just the beginning. We plan to further expand our RWA acquisition and ultimately integrate it with the cashback model of the rewards ecosystem.
How do you think Lingo’s approach to SocialFi can impact broader trends in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: Community and people are the most important assets a Web3 project can have. Our approach to SocialFi aims to provide people with a fun yet rewarding experience so they can join in on the adventure the way they want – whether by inviting friends, supporting us on social media, or creating high-quality content. As one of the first Web3 startups to truly combine blockchain and RWA in a 100% community-driven, yet secure, scalable and sustainable way, we aim to inspire more people.
What advice would you give to potential investors or community members interested in participating in the Lingo ecosystem?
Hassam-Musa Rawat: Over the past few years, we’ve been putting all our focus and focus on building a platform that appeals to Web3 enthusiasts while solving the challenges of widespread mainstream cryptocurrency adoption. We’ve built a product for the next billion cryptocurrency consumers, so we hope everyone enjoys their Lingo journey.
