The merger of cutting-edge blockchain financial service platforms Huma Finance and Arf was recently officially announced. This breakthrough represents an important step in pursuing our shared mission to reshape global economic exchange. This collaboration will significantly improve the landscape of blockchain-based financial services and is likely to reach more than $3 billion in liquidity by 2024.
The issue of cross-border money transfers is complex. This includes a number of factors, such as different countries’ clearing systems, which do not all follow the same financial standards and the specific laws of each country. Currently, approximately $4 trillion is held in government accounts globally. This amount may seem trivial to some, but it consumes a lot of energy for payment systems and financial institutions. To address these challenges, the two companies have formed a partnership in 2023 with support from the Stellar Development Foundation. The parties’ collaboration aimed to create an on-demand liquidity solution using Circle’s stablecoin USDC and real-world tokenized assets.
As a result, this partnership has effectively facilitated more than $1 billion in trade across borders. The demand for these innovative solutions is overwhelming, as the top international payment companies want to purchase $500 million worth of these products every month. By combining Arf’s liquidity management capabilities with Huma’s great tokenization platform, the new entity plans to transform business and personal payment processes using a modern entity. This consolidation will reduce pressure on working capital by eliminating the need for capital outflows.
Ali Erhat Nalbant, co-founder and CEO of Arf, also gave his opinion on the matter, stating that the company’s main goal is to create a financial system that is easily accessible to everyone. Over the next 10 years, billions more people are expected to enjoy the same rights as we commit to eradicating poverty. They will bring liquidity resources to Huma’s cutting-edge asset-based blockchain technology. This will improve the visibility of financial institutions, make them more transparent, and enable them to comply with blockchain regulations.
Erbil Karaman, co-founder and one of the co-CEOs of Huma Finance, emphasized the big picture of the partnership. As Huma points out, the main goal is to leverage blockchain technology to its full potential to bring significant change to the real world.
Globally, one billion individuals enjoy the benefits of international settlement, and this number is set to increase as more individuals embrace digital employment globally.
Together with Arf, we want to expand the universe of people who have access to fast, transparent and easy-to-use liquidity solutions for their financial activities.
Over time, Arf and Huma demonstrate a deep and sustained commitment to offer more liquidity solutions, integrate new applications, and solidify their position as leaders in the financial technology wave. These purposeful partnerships not only make traditional banking obsolete, but also attempt to expand the influence and participation of the underbanked in the financial system.
