Illuvium is a science fiction fantasy NFT game IP with four games in development: Illuvium Arena, Overworld, Zero, and Beyond. Although each title is a separate game, it provides a degree of interoperability and cross-game rewards.
The Illuvium team also launched its own Ethereum ERC-20 token, ILV, and its own marketplace, Illuvidex. Illuvium DAO also has a community-based voting system to propose new initiatives for the Illuvium ecosystem.

What are NFTs on Illuvium?
The world of Illuvium is inhabited by over 150 types of fictional alien-like creatures called Illuvials. Illuvials are collectible NFTs, and each creature has a different “synergy” or affinity that provides strengths and weaknesses for a specific character, like a Pokémon. Illuvial can be used in the Arena and Overworld.

Fans can also purchase Illuvitar D1sk, a pack containing various Illuvitars and accessories to play Illuvium Beyond. Illuvitars are collectible profile picture style NFTs inspired by Illuvials.
What are ILV tokens?
Illuvium token or ERC-20 ILV Tokenis Illuvium’s cryptocurrency and governance token. ILV is used to reward players in various games on Illuvium and is also the token used as a voting chip in the Illuvium DAO. ILV can also be staked for rewards.
How does Illuvium DAO work?
Illuvium has a token-based decentralized online community (DAO). Ilubinati Governance, the DAO has approximately 4,400 members, according to its website. Within Illuvium DAO, as of this writing, there are five sub-councils: Main Council, Game Council, Strategy Council, Marketing Council, and Community Council. Members of each committee can vote on a variety of proposals to help improve the Illuvium ecosystem, from technology changes to merchandising proposals to PVP tournaments.
Why does Illuvium use Immutable X?
Immutable X is a layer 2 Ethereum scalable blockchain from cryptocurrency startup Immutable. According to 2022 blog post, Illuvium uses Immutable Immutable X also gives Illuvium the ability to offer more “gasless” or transactionless activities. This means players won’t be forced to “sign” with their cryptocurrency wallet every time there’s a change to their NFT collection.
What is Illuvium Arena?
Illuvium Arena is a player-versus-player (PVP) turn-based creature combat arena game in which players must lay down magical creature cards known as Illuvials, which automatically become the characters they battle on a small square game board.
Illuvial NFTs can be purchased and traded, but some game versions and modes allow players to access some Illuvials for free. In Arena’s turn-based 1v1 games, players must use character knowledge and strategy to defeat opponents while managing their card-playing resources.
Arena’s Survival mode is a player versus environment (PVE) combat arena experience, where players must battle the computer, which places waves of Illuvials on the board. Arena’s Ascendant mode allows players to engage in PVP battles and climb the game’s leaderboards. According to Illuvium’s website, Arena’s Leviathan mode will allow players to battle each other in a PVP-style “unlimited” mode with “the coolest teams imaginable,” but no further details about this mode have been revealed.
As of this writing, Illuvium Arena is currently accepting open beta registrations and is available for PC and Mac.
What is Illuvium Overworld?
Illuvium Overworld It is an open world role-playing game (RPG) in the Illuvium ecosystem. In the overworld, players can fly, explore seven diverse and colorful regions, craft equipment, harvest and mine resources, and capture Illuvial through a mini-arena-like PVE gaming experience.
Once players access Illuvial’s aura in the overworld, they will be transported to an arena combat environment where they must attempt to use Illuvial to capture a new challenger.
Illuvium Overworld is currently accepting public beta registrations and is available for PC and Mac gamers.
What is Illuvium Zero?
Illuvium Zero is a real-time strategy (RTS) game that allows gamers to build and manage their own “digital industrial complex.” Zero is a resource extraction simulation game where players can use fuel extracted from the Illuvium Overworld or sell it for cryptocurrency on Illuvidex. Illuvium calls Zero a companion game, and the alpha version is currently only available to land NFT owners. Illuvium Zero is available for Android devices, Mac, and PC.
What is Illubium Beyond?
Beyond Illubium A fully launched NFT-based browser experience where players can use Illuvitar NFTs to climb the leaderboards. Each Illuvitar can have a variety of accessories and traits that determine its “power rating.” The goal in Beyond is to increase each Illuvitar’s power rating as much as possible through accessories and accumulate album points.
In a sense, Illuvium Beyond is a competitive art modification and collecting game where the art is set of animal cards you earn. Beyond, similar to many competitive games, features a six-tier ranking system where players are assigned ranks ranging from “unranked” to bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond.
What Illuvium games are on the Epic Games Store?
