Web3 investor Santiago Roel Santos is convinced that bringing cryptocurrency innovation to traditional businesses will help them operate better, faster and cheaper.
Santos, who was previously a partner at blockchain VC firm ParaFi Capital, announced the launch of a new private equity fund called Inversion Capital. Santos announced at
Santos argues that there are some businesses that could benefit from adopting crypto-based tools to address scaling issues “that manifest themselves in higher operating costs, capital expenditures, or lower unit economics.”
Inversion Capital is not an investment partner and will acquire the business outright, so the reluctance of business owners to accept cryptocurrencies does not matter, Santos explained.
“There are a lot of great companies that have reached their peak and are prime candidates to undergo a business model transformation,” Santos said. “You’re already seeing it through DePIN.”
Santos did not elaborate on how much money he hopes to raise or whether he has chosen an initial goal.
“Crypto is a new operating system. It runs on an invisible backend to make your business run faster, better and cheaper. This is how we accelerate,” Santos said.
