SingularityNET (AGIX) recently held a groundbreaking technology gathering in Istanbul, Turkey. According to SingularityNET, the event brought together key figures from organizations and ecosystems to discuss and drive the development of a decentralized AI platform.

Key attendees and discussions

The gathering was attended by prominent attendees including SingularityNET CEO Ben Goertzel, CSO Matt Ikle, Chief AGI Officer Alexey Potapov, CTO Sergey Shalyapin, and Head of Blockchain Development Albina Pomogalova. They are joined by ecosystem partners such as Mihaela Ulieru and Robert Moir from HyperCycle, Greg Lucius Meredith from F1R3FLY.io, and Franz Josef Allmayer from HyphaDAO.

This diverse group came together to discuss the current state and future direction of the SingularityNET AI platform. Key topics included the platform’s development progress, strategic plans for the remainder of 2024, and innovations in decentralized AI technology.

Platform development and innovation

On the first day of the meetup, platform development was evaluated and strategic plans for the second half of the year were discussed. Important updates were shared, including advancements in knowledge graphs and large language models (LLMs), the development of AI-DSL, and efforts to simplify cryptographic complexity for non-technical users.

Notable progress has been reported in integrating Hyperon instances with HyperCycle compute nodes and leveraging NuNet for distributed computation coordination. The team also explored the possibility of integrating Sentience with Cardano and leveraging Rholang for node management.

Hyperon Alpha and Knowledge Graph

The Hyperon Alpha phase is making progress with a focus on developing small-scale services for MeTTa and creating a comprehensive corpus of MeTTa programs. This initiative aims to improve the functionality of the platform by training LLMs in MeTTa code.

SingularityNET is also advancing a knowledge graph that demonstrates the effectiveness of augmenting vector databases to combat LLM hallucinations. The team is developing an easy-to-use API and user experience UI for the knowledge management platform to ensure interoperability of the knowledge graph.

Future direction and hardware innovation

CTO Sergey Shalyapin shared insights on future hardware advancements, focusing on Hyperon node support for AGI implementation and neural network training. Plans are in place to develop a hub for a wider decentralized computing network, which will be critical for training and hosting AI services within a decentralized framework.

Shalyapin also outlined strategic plans to leverage the AGIX token for hardware optimization over the next one to two years, with the goal of accelerating the development of the Large Memory Model (LMM).

The Istanbul gathering marks an important step forward in SingularityNET’s mission to advance decentralized AI. The joint efforts of our teams and partners are set to achieve significant milestones in the AI landscape through 2024 and beyond.
