NVIDIA’s Jupiter Super Computer, driven by the Grace Hopper platform, is now the fastest in Europe and offers more than twice the speed of AI and HPC tasks. We promote this scientific innovation hosted in Germany.
NVIDIA has published important milestones in the high -performance computing field using Jupiter Super Computer, and is currently the fastest in Europe. According to the NVIDIA NEWSROOM, this performance is driven by the NVIDIA Grace Hopper ™ platform and promises to accelerate artificial intelligence and high -performance computing (HPC) to provide more than twice the nearest competitors.
Exascale performance and energy efficiency
Jupiter will be Europe’s first exacale SuperComputer and can perform 1 Quintillion float-point work per second (FP64). This feature is essential for processing the most demanding AI models and simulations, including models associated with climate modeling, quantum research and biological innovation. Jupiter, in particular, is one of the top five systems in the top 5 list of the world’s fastest supercomputers, with the highest energy efficiency and 60 gigabytes per watt.
Technology infrastructure
The SuperComputer is almost 24,000 nvidia GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips and uses the NVIDIA Quantum-2 Infiniband networking platform. EVIDEN ‘S Bullsevana XH3000 is expected to achieve over 90 AI performance, depending on the liquid cooling architecture. Jupiter also integrates NVIDIA’s comprehensive software stack to optimize performance.
Scientific and industrial influence
The JUPITER hosted by the Jülich SuperComputing Center in Germany is owned by the EUROHPC joint workplace. The computational ability is set to promote scientific discoveries throughout Europe, which greatly affects areas such as environmental simulation, quantum computing and drug discovery.
Anders Jensen, co -director of EUROHPC, said, “With the extreme performance of Jupiter, Europe has been a big leap forward in the future of science, technology and sovereignty. Supercomputers promote complex research and innovation with groundbreaking results for European science and technology.
R & D development
Jupiter’s function is expected to develop NVIDIA’s CUDA-Q platform and cuquantum software development kits. Supercomputers are also ready to switch computer auxiliary engineering and drug discovery processes through AI -centered simulation and digital twin technology.
The architecture of this system was completed within nine months and marked the pivotal moment of European high -performance computing. Emmanuel Le Roux, a senior executive at Atos Group, praised the technical leadership shown by a consortium in charge of the design and arrangement of Jupiter.
Researchers from all over Germany and Europe can apply for access to Jupiter, promising to promote the boundaries between scientific research and industrial innovation.
