Time passed and the song ended, but I thought there was something more to say. — Pink Floyd
It is with no small sadness that I have to say goodbye to you. Like The Floyd’s work, I’ve sampled the whole gamut of emotions while engaging with Ethereum. From the surprise of meeting so many amazing people (especially Jani and Wendell) in Miami in January 2014 to meeting Jeff for the first time in February 2014 for our first real face-to-face collaboration with a client, traveling the US in March 2014. I met celebrities like Joel and Juan. I then had the pleasure of setting up EthDev, teaming up with co-conspirator Aeron, getting to know the awesome coders Martin and Roman at DevCon-0, and testing the depth of my intellect with Matt and Tim at Ethash. .
But enough about the past. If you search hard enough, endings will definitely bring you opportunities, and this is no different. Together with core developers Arkadiy and Marek and others (both existing developers and new faces) I will be working on: Make your dreams a reality As part of a shiny new venture.
I’m afraid to say that my C++ will be getting a little rusty as I explore different areas of technology outside of the cpp-ethereum core. Nonetheless, I will do my best to support and guide Bob, Christoph and the others as they move into new territory and provide some competition to other teams.
The road ahead will definitely be difficult. But we know what needs to be done and we expect the views to be spectacular. Hello and thank you to all the fish.
