Lenovo is collaborating with IrisBond and ElevenLabs to launch a TTS eye-tracking device that improves communication for ALS patients with advanced voice AI technology.
Lenovo has launched a groundbreaking text-to-speech (TTS) eye-tracking device that aims to significantly improve communication for individuals living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and similar conditions. According to ElevenLabs, this innovative device was unveiled with the support of several leading technology partners, including IrisBond and ElevenLabs.
Enhancing Communication for People with ALS
The event highlighted the impact of new technologies through the experience of Erin Taylor, a disability advocate who lives with ALS. Using this device, Taylor was able to introduce the Lenovo chairman in his own voice. This is a feat that highlights the potential of this technology to restore users’ personal identity and ability to communicate.

Historically, voice banking solutions have been criticized for lacking emotional depth and being slow to process. However, the integration of ElevenLabs’ advanced voice AI technology has revolutionized this process.
