After the attacker used vulnerability in the access control system, the maximum extractable value (MEV) bot lost about $ 180,000.

On April 8, Block Chain security firm SLOWMIST said that the MEV bot lost 116.7 Ether (ETH) due to lack of access control. VLADIMIR SOBOLEV, also known as an officer’s notes for X, said that the attacker exploited the vulnerability of the bot and changed ETH to a pile token.

Sobolev said that this was done through the malicious grass created by the attacker within the same deal. The Institute of Threats added that MEV owners can prevent them by implementing more stringent access control.

In 25 minutes, the owner of MEV proposed a bounty to the attacker. The owner then distributed a new MEV bot with a more stringent access control verification.

Sobolev compared the use in 2023 with similar events, where MEV bots lost $ 25 million after exploitation. On April 23, 2023, the bot, who performed a sandwich trade, lost his wounds to the lost valid turmeric.
