Most voters believe US presidential candidates should be well-informed about cryptocurrencies, according to a new Grayscale poll.

About 73% of voters said U.S. presidential candidates should be well informed about innovative technologies, including cryptocurrencies. inspection Results conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of Grayscale Investments.

Cryptocurrencies are relevant to Americans as voters are concerned about financial stability, especially inflation, Grayscale said in a blog post about the poll Wednesday. The survey was conducted online in the United States over a few days in late November among 1,759 adults planning to vote in the 2024 presidential election.

Inflation is “the single most pressing problem,” according to respondents.

“This discovery is directly related to cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin, which has traditionally been correlated with currency depreciation,” the post said. Grayscale, among other asset companies, has been vying for the country’s first spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund.

Young voters are buying cryptocurrency

Additionally, the survey found that 40% of investors said their future portfolio would include cryptocurrencies. Younger voters, such as Generation Z and Millennials, own more cryptocurrencies than stocks, and the majority of these voters “According to the survey, they agree that ‘cryptocurrency and blockchain technology are the future of finance.’

However, 46% of voters surveyed said they were waiting for “additional policies” before jumping into cryptocurrencies. Washington lawmakers are working on a federal framework to regulate the industry, including a stablecoin bill and a more comprehensive market structure bill. Meanwhile, regulators are taking enforcement action against suspected malicious actors in the sector.

Cryptocurrencies have increasingly become part of campaign tracking. Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy revealed A few weeks ago, his cryptocurrency plans were announced by Robert F.
