EF’s subsidy program began in 2018 and over time Ecosystem support program (ESP), we provide subsidies and support to builders who will help the Ether Leeum ecosystem thrive. Our task is to enhance the foundation of Etherrium and to give power to future builders in domains such as developer tooling, research, community construction, infrastructure and open standards.
In 2024 alone, the ESP awarded nearly $ 3 million to 105 projects and initiatives from the Open Grants Program WebForms. This subsidy, which is part of the ESP’s large portfolio, has supported various tasks: Commit boost (Developer Tooling), Bundled (Data and analysis), Web3bridge (education), ZK Playbook (Research) and Ether Leeum Cypher Punk Congress (Community Event).
Over the past three years we have simplified the process to improve efficiency. However, as a public subsidy program with a wide range of Lean teams, a large amount of inbound applications have the ability to pursue new strategic opportunities by spending most of their time and resources. To look forward to seeing the changes that can go into new chapters, focus more on efforts, support the community more meaningfully, and continue to grow with the ecosystem.
Evolved with Ether Leeum’s growth
EF has recently made it clear Vision I introduced that change Ecology system development structureIt reflects a wide range of changes in the relationship with the Ethereum ecosystem. This moment provides a timely opportunity to explore the following repetition of the ESP. As the scale, complexity and visibility of the Etherum ecosystem increases, the funding approach should evolve with him.
We are improving ESP’s priority and approach to adjust to the updated ecosystem development strategy of EF. As part of this transition, we temporarily suspended the application for public subsidies. These changes can be redesigned by redirecting the focus of strategic initiatives and moving from the reactive model to a more active model that supports the priority of other EF teams.
We will support the Ether Leeum public goods and accept the application, but we will explain a new approach to future posts. Our core value does not change.
- Resources to important projects and initiatives that enhance the elasticity and usefulness of Ether Leeum
- Public goods and open source work to develop the Ether Leeum ecosystem
- Focus on domains such as developer tooling, core and shared infrastructure, research, community resources and other public goods.
What is the following
While the Open Grant application stops for a while, the ESP team will continue to support active women. timeFor those who want to support non -relief, such as guidelines, project feedback or useful resource findings. During this period we will not consider new subsidies.
We will share updates on the sophisticated priority and approach of the ESP in the fourth quarter of 2025. In the meantime, you can follow the latest EF Grant Notice and Women’s Project progress. @Ef_sp X (Twitter), @EF-ESP Packers, @Ef_sp Lens and @EF-ESP Bluesky. The entire list of EF Grants is ESP blog.
We are deeply devoted to support the Etherum ecosystem and public goods that maintain it. This change indicates a new chapter of the ESP, but we are vital to the opportunity to better support the amazing architects, researchers and contributors who lead the growth of Ethereum. The future of Ether Leeum is a joint trip, and we are happy to go with you!
