NVIDIA announces new initiatives to support career development. A.I (AI) and data science through a series of self-paced, on-demand courses. According to the NVIDIA blog, the tech giant aims to equip professionals with the skills they need to excel in this rapidly evolving field.

The impact of AI is permeating nearly every industry, creating new career opportunities for professionals from diverse backgrounds. Lauren Silveira, NVIDIA’s university recruiting program manager, emphasized the importance of leveraging unique education and experience in the AI field. She encouraged attendees to apply their diverse skills to make significant contributions to the industry.
Kevin McFall, a senior lecturer at the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, offered practical advice to those who feel overwhelmed by the vast landscape of AI. He recommended that experts focus on integrating various resources to create comprehensive solutions rather than trying to build everything from scratch.
Panelists emphasized the importance of leveraging available tools and resources to enhance their capabilities. NVIDIA offers a variety of free software development kits, community resources, and specialized courses in areas such as robotics, CUDA, and OpenUSD through the NVIDIA Developer Program.

Sabrina Kumoin, a senior software engineer at NVIDIA, emphasized the importance of connecting with like-minded peers and mentors. He suggested a three-step strategy for strengthening your LinkedIn profile: Research the company you want, understand its mission and goals, and boldly share your career journey and aspirations.
Lewis Stewart, NVIDIA’s head of strategic initiatives, advises professionals to be intentional and purposeful in their career development. He emphasized that creating a personal narrative and growth journey is as important as keeping your certifications and skills up to date.
Dive deep into learning
NVIDIA offers a variety of programs and resources designed to prepare the next generation of AI professionals. The AI Learning Essentials program provides individuals with the knowledge, skills, and certifications they need to succeed in the workplace. The program includes free access to self-paced introductory courses and webinars on topics such as generative AI, augmented search generation (RAG), and CUDA.
The NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) offers a wide range of resources, including learning materials, self-paced and live training sessions, and educator programs. These resources cover AI, accelerated computing, data science, and graphics simulation. DLI also offers technical workshops for undergraduates and comprehensive training on generative AI, RAG, NVIDIA NIM inference microservices, and large-scale language models.
