NVIDIA’s Earth-2 platform cooperates with G42 to develop UAE’s regional weather forecasts to provide high-resolution predictions to solve extreme weather problems.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) uses state -of -the -art technology to solve the influence of extreme weather events. NVIDIA’s Earth-2 platform is at the forefront of this innovation in cooperation with the UAE-based AI and cloud computing company G42, providing high resolution weather forecasts caused by serious climatic conditions.
Solve climate problem with AI
In recent years, the UAE has significantly increased extreme weather events, including severe rainfall, dense fog and intense heat. These conditions interfere with everyday life and influenced transportation, urban planning and public safety. The need for accurate weather forecasts has become particularly important for integrating renewable energy sources into the grid and ensuring stability.
Traditional global weather models often lack the resolution required to effectively predict the UAE. To fill this gap, the G42 can develop a creation AI prediction system using NVIDIA’s Earth-2 platform to generate detailed regional weather forecasts at a resolution of up to 200 meters.
Advanced AI prediction technology
The prediction system of the G42 can use NVIDIA’s Corrdiff Architecture within the Physicsnemo framework to make the down scaling of global weather data into more segmented levels. The system, which has been trained in NVIDIA’s H100 GPU clusters, can deliver national predictions nationwide at a resolution, 2 km away within a few minutes, and has improved significantly compared to the traditional methods that take several hours.
Improved AI systems also include a second deformation of the CORRDIFF model and provides a hyper local prediction for ABU DHABI at a resolution of 200 meters. This feature captures the complex interactions between geographical factors and urban factors, providing a comprehensive understanding of local weather epidemiology.

High resolution weather simulation is very important in the government and industry of the UAE. They enable pre -measures in transportation management, public safety and power grid stability. By predicting weather conditions, the authorities can alleviate traffic suspension and optimize energy use during extreme temperature events.
