Solana-based cat robot shooter Nyan Heroes announced Friday that more than 100,000 players have downloaded and played the game since its pre-alpha demo was released on the Epic Games Store on March 25.
“The Nyan Heroes pre-alpha demo has been in full swing for 10 days, and we’re completely confident in all the responses we’ve received,” developer 9 Lives Interactive said in a Medium post.
With less than a week left until the pre-alpha demo ends on April 9, Nyan Heroes announced plans to offer leaderboards on Friday. compensation For top players in the demo, including a Nyan Heroes Genesis Guardian NFT and additional MEOW points to be used towards the game’s upcoming NYAN token airdrop.
According to Nyan Heroes, the top three players will receive a Legendary Genesis Nyan NFT, Ultrarare Genesis NFT, and Rare Genesis Nyan NFT, respectively. Players ranked 4th to 10th will receive a Genesis Nyan NFT, while players ranked 11th to 20th will each receive a Genesis Guardian NFT.

“Leaderboard rankings are determined by total wins during the pre-alpha demo period. The more wins you get, the higher you place on the leaderboard,” said 9 Lives Interactive.
According to a Medium post, the top 100 players will be displayed on a leaderboard. According to 9 Lives Interactive, players who are not currently in the top 100 can use their username to check their ranking at the bottom of the list.
“Rise with every win! While the top 100 heroes take the spotlight, each player’s ranking and username will be respected,” 9 Lives Interactive added on Twitter. “Tie win? You will receive higher level rewards! Plus, your MEOW points increase with each win on the leaderboard.”
For example, if rank 500 and 501 have the same number of wins, rank 501 will receive the same rewards as rank 500. Nyan Heroes said that all MEOW rewards earned from leaderboard boosts will be added to the player’s point total. Multipliers are also taken into account. Ultimately, the top 7,500 players will all receive some sort of MEOW Points bonus.
Last January, Nyan Heroes said players who own Nyan Heroes or Guardians NFTs would receive additional rewards. Last weekend, 9 Lives Interactive ran a special limited-time promotion, offering double MEOW Points during the Play-Airdrop campaign. NYAN tokens will be launched on Solana sometime after the Play-Airdrop campaign ends.
