OKX Ventures has invested in Accountable to advance real-time financial verification and connect traditional and cryptocurrency markets. The move follows a $7.5 million funding round led by Pantera Capital.
OKX Ventures, the investment arm of popular cryptocurrency exchange OKX, announced a strategic investment in Accountable. This initiative aims to revolutionize real-time financial verification and seamlessly integrate traditional and cryptocurrency-based markets. According to OKX Ventures, the investment follows a successful $7.5 million funding round led by Pantera Capital.
Transparency Paradox
Accountable’s platform solves the critical challenge of the ‘transparency paradox’ within the institutional cryptocurrency market. This paradox arises from the need for proof of solvency, which often conflicts with operational security requirements. Traditional proof-of-reserve systems only verify assets and leave liabilities unverified, exposing balance sheet risk. Accountable alleviates this problem by using privacy-preserving encryption for selective disclosure. This allows institutions to securely verify their assets and liabilities without revealing sensitive data such as trading strategies, wallet addresses, or API keys.
Product architecture and market positioning
Accountable has established itself as the neutral verification layer for the institutional market, transforming verification from a compliance mandate to a capital efficiency tool. The core of the ecosystem is the Data Verification Network (DVN), which facilitates real-time financial reporting without compromising sensitive information. Additionally, features such as Proof of Solvency, Vault-as-a-Service, and YieldApp demonstrate practical applications of real-time verification.
Traction and Strategic Rationale
Since its founding less than two years ago, Accountable has verified more than $1 billion in assets. The company has also secured partnerships with renowned companies such as Galaxy, Amber Group, and K3 Capital. Additionally, YieldApp’s testnet launch in September 2025 marks an important milestone ahead of the mainnet deployment scheduled for the fourth quarter of the same year.
“The era of black boxes is over. Capital now moves on proof, not promises. With this funding, we are scaling the engineering and partnership infrastructure needed to make continuous verification the default across markets,” said Wojtek Pawlowski, co-founder and CEO of Accountable, emphasizing the shift from opaque financial practices to evidence-based transparency.
Accountable’s platform is set to redefine financial verification standards and provide a system that ensures transparency while protecting competitive integrity. This is consistent with OKX Ventures’ commitment to supporting the underlying infrastructure that fosters long-term value in the blockchain industry.
