- Particle Network’s modular L1 blockchain is a universal payments layer for multi-chain ecosystems.
- It features chain abstraction and universal accounts.
Particle Network has introduced a modular Layer-1 blockchain, an upgrade based on chain abstraction and universal accounts to make the user experience easier across the blockchain.
Particle Network’s L1 is a Cosmos-SDK-based blockchain that serves as a “universal payment layer for a multichain ecosystem.”
“Building this chain using the Cosmos SDK allows you to make it modular in nature, retaining sovereignty while outsourcing core functions such as verification and data availability to specialized ecosystem actors. L1 is also based on Rollkit and uses Berachain’s Polaris framework for EVM compatibility. It also leverages the Universal Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol for interoperability, enabling cheap and fast cross-chain transaction execution.,” Particle Network noted in a blog post.
unique user experience
According to the Particle Network team, chain abstraction simplifies user interaction in a multi-chain ecosystem.
Within this framework, all users can interact with all products and assets in the rapidly growing Web3 environment. Chain abstraction enables the functionality of a universal account, creating an environment that behaves similarly to a single chain with unified liquidity and sovereignty.
Chain abstraction and universal accounts allow users to interact with different types of blockchain networks and decentralized applications (dApps). Particle’s wallet abstraction means a universal Web3 experience without worrying about connections between multiple wallets and other elements.
L1 uses universal accounts for simplified smart contract management across all EVM chains as well as heterogeneous blockchains such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL).
Universal Liquidity provides integrated liquidity through optimistic execution of atomic transactions and swaps. There is also a Universal Gas Token that allows users to pay for gas with a single gas token rather than multiple units.
