Phantom Wallet, a leading non-custodial multichain cryptocurrency wallet, announced the integration of Sui, marking a significant milestone in its wallet expansion strategy. According to the Sui Foundation, this integration brings Sui to a platform that already supports popular blockchains such as Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum.
Enhanced multi-chain functionality
With 7 million monthly active users, Phantom Wallet is the most widely used on-chain wallet in the industry. The addition of Sui is expected to improve interoperability and demonstrate the wallet’s commitment to a multi-chain future. Users will have access to features such as staking, in-app token swaps, NFT storage, and Ledger hardware wallet integration, which has already enabled more than 560 million on-chain transactions this year.
Strategic Integration for Sui
This integration is particularly strategic as Sui, a layer 1 blockchain, will enter the wallet ecosystem known for its optional support. Jameel Khalfan, Global Head of Ecosystem at Sui Foundation, highlighted the importance of this development, saying it provides the Sui community with a best-in-class wallet experience with many desired features.
“Phantom Wallet’s integration with Sui represents a huge leap forward for the Sui ecosystem,” said Khalfan. “Phantom Wallet is selective in the chains it supports and we are proud to now be included in this notable group.”
Available on multiple platforms
For Sui users, this integration means access to a reliable and secure wallet solution, available as browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave, as well as mobile apps for iOS and Android. This widespread availability highlights Phantom’s commitment to providing a seamless user experience across a variety of platforms.
Commitment to a high-performance blockchain
“We are excited to offer Sui support to the millions of Phantom users,” said Brandon Millman, CEO of Phantom. “Sui’s thoughtful approach to scalability and developer-centric solutions aligns with our commitment to a high-performance platform. We We look forward to building blockchain together and supporting its growth.”
