Blockchain sleuth ZachXBT has revealed that controversial entrepreneur Martin Shkreli has claimed to have co-created DJT, a Donald Trump-themed Solana token.
In the X post, ZachXBT explained that Shkreli, a securities fraud convict, personally messaged him at According to ZachXBT, Shkreli announced shortly afterwards that he had made DJT at X Spaces, which he hosted.
Shkreli’s direct message and subsequent announcement came after ZachXBT publicly accepted a $150,000 bounty from blockchain data platform Arkham to anyone who identifies the true creator of the viral token.
ZachXBT further strengthened the link between DJT and Shkreli with blockchain transaction data showing that one large DJT holder sold $832,000 worth of tokens for the USDC stablecoin. Notably, this wallet also contained a significant amount of tokens from Shkreli’s project, Shoggoth.ai.

On Tuesday morning, the DJT token surged more than 300%, recording over $472 million in trading volume, driven by an unconfirmed report from PirateWire claiming the former US president launched the token. DJT fell 33% to $0.01306 over the past 24 hours, according to data from GeckoTerminal.
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to The Block’s request for comment.
