PiscesBtc is a fake cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform that claims to offer various financial services but is actually operating as part of a scam.

Victims of this scam are lured into investing after being approached by new ‘friends’ on various social media platforms including Facebook and WhatsApp.

When victims invest money on the platform (usually after being told to first convert their cash to cryptocurrency on a legitimate exchange and then transfer it), they often see what appears to be profits appearing in their accounts.

However, when you come to withdraw your money, your account will suddenly be frozen and you will not be able to access your funds.

The scammer will then claim that some kind of fee must be paid before the cash can be withdrawn, but this never happens no matter how much the victim pays.

PiscesBtc Scam Spotted

The site has many of the issues commonly found in fraudulent cryptocurrency trading platforms, including:

  • This is a recently registered domain name.
  • It’s a website that has little depth and the content is full of spelling and grammar errors.
  • These are unrealistically high transaction figures even though the platform has only been launched for a few months.
  • There are no social media profiles or information about the company address or executives.
  • Limited information about the services provided that is inconsistent with the way legitimate platforms are presented.
  • Low domain authority (DA) and high spam score numbers.
  • There are several reports online that the platform is a scam.

Can I get my money back from PiscesBtc scammers?

There is little chance of getting your funds back from the platform, but in some cases authorities may confiscate the scammer’s assets.

If you report what happened and leave the details with the authorities, it is (very) unlikely that any of your funds will be returned.

There are also private companies that can help, as I wrote here.

If you suspect a site is fake, contact us.
