Poccoin is a scam cryptocurrency exchange that claims to provide cryptocurrency trading services but is actually a fake platform.
Several people have contacted us about this site saying they lost all their investments after being lured by someone they met on social media.
This is a common tactic of scammers known as the Pig Slaughter cryptocurrency scam.
Investors are often convinced to part with their cash after it is converted to cryptocurrency by their new ‘friends’ and they will initially see their investment grow.
But the problems start when you withdraw your funds and find that your account has been blocked.
The scammer then demands a large ‘fee’ of various descriptions to release the funds, but once the victim pays this money, it is also stolen.
How to Spot a Pocoin Scam
This scam is relatively easy to spot if you know what to look for. Prizes include:
- As mentioned, it is a very new domain name.
- There are no regulatory or licensing agreements or information.
- There are no details about the team behind the platform.
- There is no real substance to the task.
- Poor website design with few features.
- There are no social media profiles or real contact information.
- Unrealistic claims about partnerships and business figures.
These and other issues make it clear that Poccoin is a 100% scam site and should be avoided at all costs.
Can I get my money back from Pocoin scam?
Recovering funds from cryptocurrency fraud is a difficult process and in many cases virtually impossible.
However, you should always report what happens to your country’s authorities.
