The kidnappers have released David Balland, a retired co -founder of the cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer LEDGER.
The ballad kidnapped on Tuesday was reported to have been released late on Wednesday after the French police operation. Bloomberg first reported the launch of the LEDGER co -founder on Thursday, January 23rd.
Cryptocurrency requirement
According to the Paris Prosecutors’ Office’s statement, the kidnappers of Balland demanded a significant ransom. The criminals demanded the ransom as a cryptocurrency.
The French daily, Le Parisien, also confirmed that the leisure co -founder was rescued by the National Military Police Group (GIGN), a French elite counter -terrorism police.
