Robert F. Kennedy Jr., speaking on stage after a New York jury delivered sweeping guilty verdicts against former President Donald Trump and independent U.S. presidential candidate, said they were both on the same page, at least when it comes to cryptocurrencies. I am concerned.

“I’m glad he’s doing that,” Kennedy said recently when asked about Trump’s stance on cryptocurrencies.

“More politicians and even (SEC Chairman) Gary Gensler have come forward to create an Ethereum ETF, and I think that’s promising,” he continued. “Are they politically driven? Probably so. But I will not delve into their motives. I’m glad they’re doing it.”

The approval of a spot Ethereum ETF was seen as a potential shift in cryptocurrency politics. But Gensler has made no public comment on his agency’s actions.

Kennedy cheered the fact that “more people are recognizing the importance of cryptocurrencies (particularly Bitcoin) and the importance of having a decentralized currency that can make our country a hub for entrepreneurship innovation once again.”

He positioned the debate over cryptocurrencies as a debate about giving “power to individuals: the power to hold wealth undiluted, the power to transport wealth across borders without governments confiscating it.” . He said the country needed “a base currency to keep us out of war.”

Kennedy said the explosive emergence of artificial intelligence has further strengthened his conviction to embrace the cryptocurrency community.

“What drew me to this community in the first place was the re-democratization of American society, transparency, integrity, and the freedom to have mechanisms of resistance. Especially with the rise of AI and all these dystopian, totalitarian technologies. “This can be used not only to collect data, but also for government surveillance and control.”

“If we want to protect our values, democracy and transparency, we need something to protect us now,” he continued. “The obvious way to do that is through blockchain and how we can fix our election system through blockchain.”

But Kennedy made it clear that he strongly opposed the newly convicted former president.

“I’m not a fan of Trump,” Kennedy said, noting that President Trump had increased the U.S. national debt by $8 trillion. “I’m standing up to him,” he said. “He promised to run America like a business, then shut down our country and embroiled our country in (a) foreign war. The division in our country is largely down to him and Biden, and that is not a good thing for our country. ”

Kennedy also criticized prosecutors that the trial and its outcome would only increase Trump’s appeal to some voters.

“I think this is the weakest case people have ever made against him. I believe this will ultimately help President Trump among the majority of the American public,” he said.

Regarding his election prospects as an independent third-party candidate, Kennedy put aside the idea that his campaign was receiving critical support from delegates. Biden.

“If I don’t participate in the primary, my supporters will vote for President Trump,” he said, citing polls conducted by his team showing that President Trump could theoretically beat both major party candidates in a head-to-head race. “There are no conditions under which President Biden can win.”
