On January 30, 2024, Signet announced the launch of a private beta. Known as the brainchild of the wildly popular Talisman Wallet, Signet aims to improve operational security, compliance, and efficiency in Web 3. In private beta, we present an enterprise workflow management and multi-sig solution for on-chain organizations.
The beta launch will especially attract the attention of other parties involved in the Polkadot ecosystem. From on-chain enterprises to large institutions, Signet’s products can help everyone streamline enterprise workflow management.
Although new on the scene, Signet has already received development grants from Aleph Zero, Polkadot Treasury, and Web 3 Foundation. Likewise, we have collaborated with several companies in this field such as Parity Technologies, Polkadot Blockchain Academy, OnFinality, Avail, etc.
For companies seeking additional control and the ability to implement processes and data, Signet offers a self-hosted model. Additional flexibility delivers an unparalleled user experience and gives businesses complete control over transforming and managing signature workflows and approvals.
Erin Grasmick, director of infrastructure and data technologies at Parity Technologies, was particularly excited about Signet’s potential to enhance the multisig space in Web 3. He said: “Signet is a fantastic addition to the Polkadot ecosystem and fills a much-needed need. Gap in multi-signature space. The talent behind the beloved UX and design of the Talisman wallet has applied years of experience simplifying multi-signature signing. The work put in and attention to detail will be a huge help to anyone using complex Multisig workflows.”
Efficiency in multi-sig transactions is one of the project’s key goals. Signet Lead William Chen said: “The Web3 world must adapt to the complex requirements of modern on-chain organizations, and this solution, which can be thought of as an operating system for blockchain financial operations, does just that. Signet improves your organization’s workflow and allows signers to execute multi-sig transactions more efficiently than ever before.”
Along with workflow process management, Signet aims to enhance users’ data privacy. Provides built-in features to support the Aleph Zero ecosystem, such as AZERO.ID resolution and smart contract interaction with the substrate contract palette. Signet built these features for Aleph’s scalable layer 1 blockchain, but they can also be used on other networks, giving Signet more utility.
The final element that piques interest about the project is the native integration between Signet and Talisman Wallet. The wallet currently has over 70,000 users with over 5 million DOT staked. Connected to this ecosystem, Signet serves thousands of decentralized applications across the Polkadot ecosystem through its effective Multisig solutions.
Through this closed beta process and beyond, Signet will aim to revolutionize the future of multi-sig solutions in blockchain environments and enterprise workflow management.
