  • Phantom launches optional usernames for wallet users.
  • Usernames are for convenience only.
  • Privacy is a major focus of this new feature.

Solana, whose ecosystem has grown significantly over the past few months, continues to focus on user experience. We want to make our products more user-friendly and attract more users to the network.

Recently, Phantom, the largest wallet on Solana, announced one of its user-friendly features: optional wallet usernames, which aims to make sending cryptocurrencies from one user to another simpler than ever.

Phantom’s username simplifies cryptocurrency transfers

Solana’s Phantom Wallet has improved usability with new features. On Tuesday, September 17, Phantom announced the launch of usernames, allowing users to create custom identifiers for their wallets.

The rollout of this feature is optional. Phantom also says that this feature will not affect the app’s basic privacy and security. The username feature is available as an early access feature for long-time Phantom users. Access will be expanded to all users over the next few days.

According to Phantom, the username will make it more intuitive to send cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and tokens to friends and partners. It will also reduce the possibility of errors caused by misidentifying long addresses.

Usability remains a key focus for the Phantom.

User experience remains one of the major obstacles to cryptocurrency adoption. Despite massive investment, cryptocurrency apps struggle to attract users. This is because most cryptocurrency apps are perceived as complex, error-prone, and difficult to use.

More and more crypto companies are recognizing this fact. Both Solana and Phantom are introducing features that make their products easier to use. First, Solana boasts that it offers a better experience with faster transactions and lower fees.

Phantom also introduces user-friendly features. Simple user interface It appeals to new users. Plus, the app is available on most popular browsers and on Android and iOS apps.

On the other side

  • In May Phantom Wallet is the best Telegram’s “tap to earn” app game TapSwap has topped the US App Store charts.
  • Phantom in May Acquired Bitski Simplify user onboarding in the browser. In particular, Bitski’s browser extension makes onboarding much easier by allowing users to create a wallet with just an email address.

Why this matters

By launching user-friendly features, crypto apps like Phantom are expanding accessibility to new users, which is crucial for making crypto applications mainstream.
