SSV Network and Ether.fi have announced a groundbreaking partnership that aims to revolutionize liquid re-staking through Distributed Validator Technology (DVT). According to SSV Network, the collaboration will be celebrated with a two-week Learn and Earn campaign on the Galxe platform, giving participants a chance to win a $50,000 prize pool on ETHFI.
Campaign Details
The campaign invites participants to deepen their understanding of the SSV network, Ether.fi, and the importance of base layer decentralization. By completing various tasks including quizzes and educational activities, participants will be eligible to win a prize pool that will be distributed among 150 random winners. Participants will also earn Ether.fi Season 3 Loyalty Points as an additional incentive.
About Ether.fi
Ether.fi is the leading liquid restaking protocol on Ethereum, allowing users to stake ETH or stETH and receive eETH, which is essentially a restaking Liquid Staking Token (LRT). LRT earns staking rewards on popular networks and DeFi ecosystems, accumulating loyalty points and other partner rewards to increase its yield. With over 6,500 validators running on the SSV Network, Ether.fi is a key player in decentralized finance.
Introducing SSV Network
SSV Network is an open source decentralized DVT infrastructure that allows developers and solo stakers to distribute validators across globally distributed node operators in a trust-minimized manner. By integrating DVT, re-staking applications can leverage high-performance node operators to improve their products.
How SSV Strengthens Ethereum’s Base Layer
Integrating DVT into Ether.fi aims to enhance the security and resilience of Ethereum’s base layer. Distributing validator tasks across multiple nodes minimizes the risk of a single point of failure and ensures fault tolerance even if some nodes go offline. This setup improves Ethereum’s cryptoeconomic security and resilience.
Importance of DVT in Reevaluation
1. Improved resilience: Integrating SSV will strengthen Ether.fi’s restaking operations, making it more resilient to client bugs, geographic risks, and single points of failure.
2. Select strategic node operators: Ether.fi selects node operators on the SSV network based on geographic location, infrastructure setup, and client diversity, maximizing decentralization and staying true to the spirit of Ethereum.
3. Enterprise-grade cluster configuration: Ether.fi uses a strong cluster size of 7 entities, allowing up to 2 node operators to go offline without affecting validator performance, ensuring high availability and stability.
4. Key Security and Storage: Ether.fi allows stakers to maintain control of their keys, and DVT enhances security by splitting validator keys into encrypted key shares, making it harder for malicious actors to compromise validators while their keys are stored offline.
How to participate in the campaign
To participate in the Learn and Earn campaign, participants must log into the official campaign page with their wallet, complete the tasks described, and participate in the raffle. Once the countdown timer ends, a winner will be selected at random, and participants can check back to claim their prize if they win.
This campaign provides an opportunity to learn about decentralized re-staking via Ether.fi and SSV and earn significant rewards. This initiative highlights the growing importance of DVT in strengthening the security and resilience of Ethereum’s base layer.
