The world’s largest stablecoin developer by market capitalization has formed four divisions to reflect its expanding focus.

Tether will form four new divisions:

The company’s USDT stablecoin is managed by a group called “Tether Finance”, while another division called “Tether Power” manages the company’s investments in Bitcoin mining. The third division, ‘Tether Data’, will oversee strategic investments in technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). Finally, a division called “Tether Edu” will include various educational initiatives.

“Tether’s expansion beyond the well-established USDT stablecoin marks a paradigm shift in our approach to financial empowerment,” the company said in a blog post Thursday.

“Tether actively contributes to a forward-looking financial and technology ecosystem by focusing on sustainable solutions, responsible Bitcoin mining, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and decentralized communication platforms that serve the needs of individuals, communities, cities, and countries. There is,” the statement said.
