For the first time in history, the Argentina Senate opened the door to discuss Bitcoin thanks to the efforts of NGO Bitcoin Argentina. A meeting titled “Bitcoin and Regulatory Framework” was held in Arturo Ilia Hall this week.
The event, hosted by NGO Bitcoin Argentina, gathered major political advisors and departments of various political blocks to explore the potential impact of Bitcoin on the economy and regulatory environment of Argentina. GABRIELA BATTIOTO, a lawyer and legal coordinator of NGO Bitcoin Argentina, has led a in -depth discussion on continuous global regulatory discussions over Bitcoin’s philosophy, evolution and adoption.
Ricardo Mihura, chairman of NGO BITCOIN Argentina, said, “This is a core stage for the legislative recognition of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are already part of the economic reality and strategic decision makers must have clear and accurate information.
The meeting showed that the Senator Antonio José Rodas raised the two parties’ interest in understanding and integrating Bitcoin in Argentina’s legal frameworks with the participation of Senator Mariana Juri in Mendo. Their discussion of Bitcoin focused on the transformation potential of IT and increased roles in global finance.
NGO Bitcoin Argentina (Jimena Vallone) said, “This event will continue to promote this space because it believes that this event can be set up, strengthen the goals of bringing knowledge of Bitcoin and blockchain, and to build appropriate regulations and promote the development of the sector.
