The second most expensive CryptoPunk of all time was sold on March 20 for 4,850 ETH, worth $16.42 million.
CryptoPunk #7804 is one of nine so-called “AlienPunks” in a total collection of 10,000 NFTs. This surpassed the 4,500 ETH ($16.03 million) sale of CryptoPunk #3100 on March 4, which was the second most expensive CryptoPunk sale at the time. CryptoPunk #7804 is now the second most expensive CryptoPunk sale this month.
The most expensive CryptoPunk of all time is CryptoPunk #5822, which sold for $23.7 million, equivalent to 8,000 ETH, on February 12, 2022.
According to The Block’s data dashboard, CryptoPunks recorded trading volume of $7.03 million from March 10 to March 16, and $25.52 million in revenue the week before.
CryptoPunks is the intellectual property of Yuga Labs, creators of the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club. Yuga, originally created by Larva Labs, purchased the rights to CryptoPunks in March 2022.
