The Theta network has generated interest in its own community. We have established a roadmap for 2024 centered on Edge Cloud. The hybrid cloud computing platform is inspired by collaboration between Network and Google to implement the best cloud and edge architecture.
The roadmap consisted of two parts: H1 and H2. H1-2024 covers the first release of EdgeCloud, which includes four important developments: Hosted nodes managed by Theta, introducing the Elite+ Booster feature for EEN, hosting popular models including but not limited to Gen-AI and languages, and enabling virtual management combined with an operational dashboard.
Theta Video API improvements are included in our roadmap for the first half of this year. Dashboards are being enhanced with the availability of advanced metrics and real-time streams. Self-service studio-level NFT DRM support is expected to be supported. Theta Hackathon focused on EdgeCloud, DePIN, and Metachain will be successful.
Expanding by supporting new projects in the ecosystem is outlined in Theta Network’s roadmap. This extends to subchains and TNT20 staking. The second release of EdgeCloud will be released in H2-2024.
This allows partners to set up and run hosting nodes. This is relevant to your own data centers and clouds, and application tricks will probably spread across the ecosystem. Important details about a task are provided, or rather expected to be provided, enabling storage for computing tasks, and storage is both temporary and permanent in nature.
Theta Web3 Theater will likely be integrated into partner platforms along with ThetaDrop. Likewise, Theta Network will expand TDROP use cases into its partners’ markets.
This announcement had an effect on THETA, the network’s native token. It is up 0.45% in the last 24 hours and is currently listed at $1.01. It showed an increase of 4.62% in the last 24 hours. The market capitalization showed somewhat stagnation, rising 0.06%, but the 24-hour trading volume rose 93.27%.
That said, Theta Network has hinted that it still has plans for 2025. This is not at all surprising, but Theta Network has said it will bring out a third release of EdgeCloud next year. No further details have been disclosed. Based on the information from the official blog, we can conclude that the Theta network will introduce a job and payload marketplace along with a developer API interface and job supply and demand optimization.
New applications will continue to attract attention to the Theta network. EdgeCloud remains central throughout the development phase. However, we can expect evolution to occur.
Theta Network said its roadmap is always evolving and will be updated in a timely manner based on how products and use cases are released. We will also consider how the community reacts to the development.
